If not for the trail cam photos this may be just another very good property in southern Michigan. With the photos, this property turns into the best deer hunting property I have ever been on in Michigan. The habitat is diverse, with small pockets of wetlands that funnel deer, to stands of large canopied oak trees, to hidden food plot fields, to scattered apple trees, to thick bedding areas created by select timber harvests. A maze of atv trails gets you all around this 80 acres. The location of this property tells the story of why there are so many mature bucks on camera and several that have been harvested by the landowner, his friends, and his neighbors. Just a mile or so to the south, is hundreds of acres of state prison land that cannot be hunted. The close proximity to the Grand River and the natural good habitat of Jackson County ad to the charm of this parcel. A multi dimensioned pole barn give plenty of room for food plot and habitat equipment and a place to spend the night. Camp is 18x36, a 2 stall garage is 30x40, and the tool shed area is 24x36 with 16 foot ceilings.
