Unlike cheaper microporous membranes that stop breathing when blocked by dirt, Stoney Creek’s exclusive hydrophilic membrane will continue breathing, keeping you dry and comfortable in miserable weather conditions.

The key to the Pioneer Bibs ultra-tough performance is in it’s AG Tough fabric. This advanced 3-layer fabric actively repels water, keeping the outer layer dryer and cleaner. The inner membrane blocks 100% of water and wind whilst still being able to breathe. It’s inner mesh lining helps to protect the membrane and has been Ultra-Fresh® Antimicrobial treated to prohibit unwanted bacteria growth.

The Pioneer Bibs advanced 3-layer fabric offers unmatched protection from the elements. Also, thanks to its highly micropourous internal membrane, this fabric breathes exceptionally well. Keeping you comfortable and on-the-go when working on the farm during wet weather.
To meet the 100% waterproof criteria here at Stoney Creek, the garment needs to be 100% seam sealed. This seam sealing provides extra protection at the vulnerable seam stitching and gives you confidence that your Pioneer Bibs are built to perform.

Fabric Technology

When the going gets tough… the tough get going, that’s why the Pioneer Overtrousers has been armed with our toughest 3-layer technical fabric called Ag tough. Ag Tough boasts an ultra-tough 320D x 160D nylon exterior which has been DWR coated to repel against water, mud and dirt. But don’t be fooled, we’ve balanced this toughness with exceptional breathability thanks to its hydrophilic membrane which is 100% waterproof, 100% windproof and breathable.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To maintain top performance of your Stoney Creek garment we recommend a regular warm washing at 40 degrees (inside out) with a non-powdered laundry detergent (Sports Wash recommended) and occasional warm tumble dry, right side out. A warm wash assists in killing bacteria and the warm drying for 20 minutes revives the fabric and rejuvenates the DWR and the Teflon coating ensuring going performance. NB: Powdered detergents have UV brightness visible to animals. We recommend reapplying DWR every two years. It is not recommended to store your garment damp, wet and scrunched.
